To talk about Camp is therefore to betray it.
—Susan Sontag

While putting together this issue, we were saddened by the death of Susan Sontag. Her brilliant essay on camp, dedicated to Oscar Wilde, was one of the inspirations for this brief issue.

What the world refuses the muse blesses. One thing I have learned from my work as an editor over the years is that you can count on poets to rise to any occasion. This issue, with its light hearted yet daunting theme, has come together because we had such good poetry, it had to happen.

In a whirlwind of an international move, we have compiled this issue while putting life in boxes. So, please look at this issue as attar of Die Cast Garden—small, concentrated, and, unlike other issues, can be devoured in one sitting.

Yours,
The Editors
